1. Start with the style, not the studio
Most people searching for western dance classes in Gurgaon mean one of four things: hip hop, jazz, contemporary or heels. Off Grid teaches hip hop, jazz and heels, not contemporary. Decide what you want to do in six months, then find a studio that runs that style as a weekly batch, not an occasional workshop.
- Learn choreography and perform it: hip hop or jazz. Off Grid runs both, with hip hop as its deepest style.
- Clean up technique, lines and turns: jazz. At Off Grid it is taught as jazz, technique first.
- Confidence, posture and attitude: heels. Off Grid's Sunday class is open level.
- Partner dance, fitness, bhangra or classical: Off Grid does not teach these. See the specialists section below.
2. Check the level ladder
A studio with one mixed batch per style has nowhere to put you once you improve. Ask how many levels each style has. Off Grid runs Jazz at two levels, Hip Hop at three (Level 3 is the only advanced batch at the studio) and Heels as an open-level class.
The best dance class to start with is almost always Level 1, whatever you danced at school. Level 1 assumes nothing, and the trial class will tell you if it is too easy.
3. Pick a batch you can reach
The batch you attend twice a week beats the batch you skip. Weekday evening batches suit people leaving offices on Golf Course Road and in Sectors 44 to 46; weekend batches run from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM across Saturday and Sunday. All ten batches are below, live from the studio schedule.

4. Trial, fees and class size
Two questions matter: can I try one class before paying, and what does a month cost? At Off Grid the first class in any batch is a trial, and monthly fees run from ₹2,000 to ₹3,000 depending on the batch and level. Workshops are priced per event; the K-pop workshop of 13 September 2026 was listed at ₹800. Detail is on the fees page; for a specific batch, ask on WhatsApp.
Websites rarely print class size, so check it at the trial. Could the instructor see your feet? Did they correct you by name? That tells you more than any review.
5. Do the students perform?
Choreography learned in a mirror and never shown to anyone fades fast. Ask whether the studio puts students in front of a crowd. 6. Choosing for a child
For kids, check four things: the minimum age, whether the batch is built for children, weekend timing and whether they get to perform. Off Grid's Kids batch takes ages 6 to 14, runs Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 PM, and feeds into the adult Level 1 batches from around 14.
